The Tartu Marathon birthday hike with Jan Uusp\u00f5ld takes participants along the traditional route from Elva to Hellenurme and back, although Elva is normally the marathon finish.\n\n<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ski hike starts at the Tartu County Recreational Sports Centre in Elva, the official finish area of the Tartu Marathon.<br>The day begins at 11:00 with a short guided skiing basics session and warm-up led by ski coach Ave Ojasoon. The group starts at 11:15. The hike can be completed in either classic or freestyle technique.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together, participants will cover approximately 20 kilometres (Elva\u2013Hellenurme\u2013Elva).<br>In Hellenurme and at the finish, participants will be offered a warm drink. Swix ski assistance will also be available on site, and Suusaakadeemia will offer Fischer equipment for testing and rental.
